Leave It to McCain to Lie About Proven Facts

FactCheck.org released a statement today stating that, “A McCain-Palin ad has FactCheck.org calling Obama’s attacks on Palin “absolutely false” and “misleading.”  That’s what we said, but it wasn’t about Obama.” (Link here.  Emphasis added.)

I am absolutely fed up with statements like this and ads about “sex-ed for kindergartners” and those accusing Obama of sexist smearing with the “lipstick on a pig” metaphor (especially the disgustingly false ad PAID FOR BY MCCAIN-PALIN’s CAMPAIGN).

Senator Obama, the time has come to show some righteous anger! You have taken the high road and the Republican Karl Rove Rangers have used your mission to run a clean campaign against you.  You have told the progressive 527 groups to keep quiet (although the Republicans are trying to paint YOU as the one running a smear campaign when THEY are the ones paying for all the smears.)

It’s time to let the 527s go to work.  In fact, it’s past time.  It is essential that you show to the American people that Democrats are not wimps.  It’s time to prove that we can and WILL fight.  It’s time to let the Republicans defend themselves, not from personal attacks but on their records.

If you do nothing to defend your good name, the American people will wonder if will do nothing to defend America.

Psychology sucks, but it’s reality.
